To decode a resistor's colour bands
1. Select the correct number of bands

2. Rotate the dials so the selected colours match those on the resistor.

3. Display at the top shows the resistor value. Also shown are the Tolerance and Temperature Coefficient (note: only 6 band resistors have a temperature coefficient. For 4 and 5 band resistors this will just display "na")
